چکیده
Residues from the use of malachite green, a compound illegally applied as veterinary drug in aquacultures intended for human consumption, are frequently reported to occur in fish and fish products. Legally, zero tolerance applies to all residues of malachite green including its main metabolite leucomalachite green which is the dominating residue in tissues of exposed fish. In the European Union (EU), a “minimum required performance limit” (MRPL) of 2 μg/kg has been set as action limit for internationally traded food consignments.

Health assessment of didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) residues in food - BfR opinion No 027/2012, 09 July 2012
On the occasion of quality controls in food business and during official food surveillance, didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) residues in excess of the currently applicable maximum residue level (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg were detected in food. The first opinion on DDAC residues, which was issued by the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) on 29 June 2012 (BfR opinion No 024/2012, availab...
متن کاملBlood Flow Restriction and Its Function in Post- Operative Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Therapy: Expert Opinion
An increasingly popular method for post-operative rehabilitation of an ACL reconstruction, as a substitute for traditionaltherapy, is blood flow restriction therapy (BFR). BFR therapy utilizes a pneumatic cuff to simulate strenuous exercisein an effort to stimulate muscle recruitment, mitigate atrophy, and promote hypertrophy in patients with load-bearinglimitations. Because t...
متن کاملDetermination of malachite green and leucomalachite green residues in rainbow trout in Sanandaj City
Background and Aim: Malachite green (MG) is an organic compound which his used as a dye in textile industry. This compound is applied incorrectly and illegally in aquiculture as an antimicrobial agent. This compound has mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. Materials and Methods: In this study we determined the concentrations of MG and leucomalachite green (LMG) in the muscle tissue of 90 rainbow...
متن کاملSpectrophotometric determination of trace amount of malachite green from water with novel magnetic silica nanoparticles
A nano-hybrid based on polystyrene derivatives and magnetite was introduced as a new sorbent for pretreatment and determine the trace amount of malachite green from aqueous solution by spectrophotometry after preconcentration by solid phase extraction (SPE). UV–Vis spectrophotometer was used for determination of MG concentration after desorption of the dye by hydrochloric acid solution in the s...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Removal of Malachite Green Dye from Aqueous Solutions Using Halloysite–TiO2 Nanocomposite
Background and purpose: Malachite green is one of the most widely used dyes in various industries, aquaculture, and fungicides. The residues have adverse effects on environmental and human health and should be removed from the effluent before discharging to the environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficiency of photocatalytic process using halloysite-titanium dioxide n...
